The Battery Cafe Performance ...

En route to my show at the cafe last week I was feeling ignited, a little anxious, but ready. I was ready to enjoy an intimate small show with my set list in hand. When I opened the door on the beautiful actually "warm" weather balmy winter night I was surprised, the space was packed! it was packed with people. I felt my heart skip a beat, I sat and listened to another artist that was up before me, slightly shaking as I awaited my turn. Well I wasn't sure I was going to get out of there alive, well not without a heart attack jk, I am being dramatic. Once I got up there, set up my equipment and started my first song, I was at home. I felt so happy to let the stress of the day go and to connect with all of the eyes, hearts, and souls in the room. I went from song to song, from story to story, from beat to beat. I felt their connection, I felt my own. I found my way, and sometimes it just takes that first step forward. Afterwards I was filled with joy, revealing in my own dis-belief that it had went so well. Grateful that I did not "freeze" or "stumble". You see this performance was another reminder to me that this is what I am meant to do right now in my life. I am meant to engage with people through music, through story, through connection, I am meant to help raise the positive energy in rooms and in hearts. It felt like a grand adventure that night, and reminded me that life is like an adventure. I hope you all enjoyed the adventure as much as I did. I look forward to the next one @ The Jumping Bean. This one is 2 hours long..whew..but I am sure time will fly as it always does, when I am in the moment and having so much FUN. Love you all. Thank you for connecting with me, and for sharing in this music.
